wishing to reach out to Scotland's media community and anyone merely curious about Scotland's media.
It comprises many FREE services, including a free contacts book and daily digests of the newspapers. There is one SUBSCRIBER-ONLY service, allowing organisations to speak direct to the media, by filing media releases on a reading section of the site.
Subscriptions cost only £100 + VAT per year.

Band for the Day
 | Band For The Day is a website for unsigned bands and their fans and features hundreds of different bands from all genres of music. Band's tracks can be previewed and purchased, which in turn creates votes. Every twenty four hours the band with the highest number of votes becomes the next days BFTD and is featured on the front page.
Bands can upload pictures, biog, gig dates and videos.
The site is going to start letting bands sell merchandise as well as becoming a social-music network with the ability for bands fans to sign up to support their favourite bands.

EUPHONIOS STREETTEAM - SCOTLAND
 | Euphonios promote signed and unsigned Scottish bands and artists all over the UK and other parts of the world. We are what is more commonly known as a street team. However we are the only street team who only promote Scottish bands and artists. We have a very large team who we will introduce to you and if they like the music they will go out and promote you in many different ways.
These could be:
1. Collecting email addresses, at gigs, for your mailing list.
2. Hand out flyers at your gigs as well as others.
3. Internet promotion (mass emailing and messageboard posts)
4. Festival promotion
5. We will send you regular updates letting you know of any opportunities e.g. venues needing bands, competitions etc.
6. Send demos to radio stations
7. Email radio djs to get your music played
8. We have many contacts that you can use including magazines who will do reviews etc.
A street team is a great way to increase a band's recognition to music industry professionals as well as potential fans.

 | Welcome to Flying Pixie Promotions & Music Management. I was thrust into the music industry quite by accident while assisting some friends of mine to gain a gig North of the Border! Further gigs ensued, along with positive feedback and my enthusiasm for taking things further grew.
I started working with the IVAN DREVER BAND early in 2009 and had a stint at managing the band through 2009/10
The content of my work involves booking and promoting gigs, press and media (radio etc) involvement, working with agencies and all the nitty gritty work which leaves the band free to do what they do best - write and perform their music to the world. I am the administration behind the talent I guess...
I have also been involved with the national competition Live & Unsigned / Open Mic (see links page) since early 2009.
I will endeavour to help where I can with bands/artistes not on my roster and if I am not in a position to fulfill a job, I will be honest
and let you know, but I will always reply to enquiries.

Misfits
 | Misfits is Edinburgh's newest alternative night, playing a mash of Indie/Electro/Punk/Rock. Misfits aims to be more than just your run-of-the-mill alternative night, it intends to build a community of clubbers, united across the splintered genres in a common appreciation of all that is alt/indie.
At the heart of it is the website - www.misfitsonline.co.uk - which allows the clubbers to network online, interact on the forums, and log requests for the DJ to track down in advance of the next night. We don't do musical elitism, believing instead that the clubbers should mould the night as much as the DJ - requests made online, as well as on the night, guide us on our way to achieving this.
It's a social experiment of sorts, or clubbing for the myspace generation if you prefer. You could of course just view it as an excuse to go out and mingle with good looking folk whilst listening to a soundtrack that you've influenced.
