Invective
An Instrumental band from Glasgow

" I just prefer instrumental. I don't need to hear what other people are singing. And if I need music as a backdrop to work or to think, I need to have that part of the brain clear - I don't need people feeding their fantasies into my vision. "

Live Music Direct
Live Music Direct is the website dedicated to giving up and coming bands the exposure they need and deserve. LMD is here to change the way the Live Music Scene operates, by providing help and support to bands that need it most. Our aim is to bring every aspect of the Live Music Scene together on the one website. This means getting together not only bands, but also venues, promoters and, especially, people that want to go see gigs just like yours, and making them part of an online community, where everyone works together instead of against each other. Live Music Direct is here to give help and support to bands by providing the tools they need to market and promote themselves to the right people at the right time on the one website…..everything a band needs is only a click away! We are here to help right from the word go. Got a new band? Then now is the time to register with Live Music Direct!

Misfits
Misfits is Edinburgh's newest alternative night, playing a mash of Indie/Electro/Punk/Rock. Misfits aims to be more than just your run-of-the-mill alternative night, it intends to build a community of clubbers, united across the splintered genres in a common appreciation of all that is alt/indie. At the heart of it is the website - www.misfitsonline.co.uk - which allows the clubbers to network online, interact on the forums, and log requests for the DJ to track down in advance of the next night. We don't do musical elitism, believing instead that the clubbers should mould the night as much as the DJ - requests made online, as well as on the night, guide us on our way to achieving this. It's a social experiment of sorts, or clubbing for the myspace generation if you prefer. You could of course just view it as an excuse to go out and mingle with good looking folk whilst listening to a soundtrack that you've influenced.

The Fortunate Sons
The Fortunate Sons are dragging music from the manicured hands of fashion back to the swamp. Hailing from the southern suburbs of Glasgow, The Fortunate Sons have been in their current line up for little over a year. Now in their early twenties, the potential of the band has been recognised by legendary producer/songwriter Kim Fowley (The Byrds, Gram Parsons, Warren Zevon, John Lennon) who invited them to record with him. Displaying a determined work ethic and achieving prolific output, The Fortunate Sons have concieved a rich sound knee-deep in the blues, tinged with impressive harmonies. Currently unsigned, the band's highly accomplished live performances are not to be missed!

Sourcing the majority of its content from volunteers, it owes much of its niche knowledge to the passionate experts comprising its vast contributor base of writers, photographers and illustrators. * Launched in autumn 2005, The Skinny's circulation has grown exponentially in the last four and a half years, to earn its place as Scotland's largest entertainment and listings magazine, with 35K copies a month in circulation (ABC audited - 34,329 Feb 2010). It is available for free in over 700 venues in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee, ensuring that emergent talent in Scottish writing, music, design and art has a platform and a voice. * Alongside the print version, The Skinny has a significant online presence at www.theskinny.co.uk and across social networking sites (Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, Central Station) which aim to encourage debate and the sharing of information and comment in the various fields of arts and music the magazine covers. * The Skinny has grown to be an established media partner with a broad range of Scottish organisations.
